After seeing the price on steam for the game, it was finally cheap enough for my poor self to pick it up, along with the deluxe upgrade. And because of that I started watching the show. Now I want to get my friends to buy it, because it is much better than I expected, and the show fills in my sci-fi needs that I've been missing since they ended the Star Gate franchise (I still haven't forgiven them for that, but if they keep Defiance going I might), and nothing has been able to fill that for me until now. I'm just glad they made the episode missions re-playable so that I don't feel like I'm missing anything, it would have been pretty disappointing if they had left them out, especially since I wouldn't have found out until after logging into the game for the first time. They REALLY need to keep the episodes online so that if people start now, they can catch up with the show and the game and not have to resort to questionable streaming sites in order to do so. If there were no older episode missions, and I wasn't able to see the show from the beginning, AND I had to pay more for the game, I have to admit I would have been pretty angry with the management of both the show and the game. But for now I am very much enjoying both. I'm pretty sure I would have complained on the forums if the earlier episode missions were gone. I never have, nor will I start, scheduling my life around TV or video games.
Also, when I asked for multiplayer for games like Mass Effect, this is what I was asking for, not the crap they created instead.
Honestly with no real crafting system in the game, no social aspect in an mmo (Really?) no trading post or auction house and my biggest issue no bank to store stuff really turned me off. I didn't even get to level 10 before I said forget it. Now I see we need to wait almost a year for the second season? Sorta defeats the reason and need for the game, I mean what are you suppose to do for a year.... EPIC FAIL!
That's about 5 minutes of gameplay there.
I hope it's not flopping. Someone mentioned to me that the director of this game is being replaced. I wonder what's happening with it. Right now I'm stuck on the part where you fight the miner that has the core and it's a seriously messed up and buggy experience in that part of the storyline quest, and the partner you go in with is completely useless. What's worse is I'm a sniper and they automatically put me down there with the mobs, uhm yeah that's not how you snipe or design a well balanced game by making someone's character do something outside of the player's control.
So we'll see where this goes.
One thing they definitely need is an autorun button. My hands are killing me!

I bought the PC DD and Season Pass as well as spent some money on Bits. I can't say it was money well spent but I also can't say it was a total waste because I have played this game for close to 200 hours. Can't say that about many other games I've played recently.
I bought the game yesterday after seeing it was 9.99 and I havent got into it yet, only this and that but it seems worth my 10 bucks so far lol
New patch makes mine crash every ark fall I go to. Makes me mad. All I want to do is play this game! Can't due to crashs.
WTF?! I paid more than that on summer sales when it was 75% off!!!!! what a ripoff!
