They really, REALLY need to seperate values of weapons, shields, grenades and just about everything else and balance them for PVP and PVE seperately.

im not gonna jump into your first statement. you have made a few great points, and i could to. but your second statement is what i can begin to agree, see, understand and talk about with you. IMO when they "nerf" weapons. they really need to separate the two, from PvE to PvP. on their live stream (please dont quote me anyone, just given example) they said they would lower the damage, increase the recoil an something else. now out of the LMG class, the Saw is rightfully king. has anyone really shot this weapons vs a AR??. its a truly bada** gun, and it should be in the game as well. they really need to buff the other LMG's. theres one that i actually liked, medium mag, quick reload, but extremely low, low damage. thats truly sad. what they should do with the lower/weaker LMG is maybe, increase the damage slightly, increase there rolls more, add a few other things that would switch people back to them. in my mind a LMG is not in the same class as a AR period, but thats just my opinion. there are many of things they can do for the other "lacking" guns, instead of nerf'ing the saw, and i am a true fan of it. i only use the saw an sniper. at least until the charge blade finally gets its a** here lol.But I agree with the nerfs being stupid. I remember a day when the berserker shotgun was more useful than just ark salvage. I remember having cars not made from paper mache. I am not jumping on the "don't nerf the saw" bandwagon yet, because I do not know exactly what the nerf is going to be. If it is a small drop in damage like 5%, then it kind of does bring the SAW back in line with some other weapons. But the issue with LMGs is not the SAW, it is that the other LMGs suck. Even compared to other weapons. They suck. I wouldn't hit a pow in the read with a disruptor. If they want to balance LMGs and are intent on nerfing the saw, they need to buff the others as well. Also, anything over a small decrease to damage to the saw will make it just as useful as the other LMGs are right now

Can you imagine the bugs that would introduce...*shudders* they can't even fix existing bugs without making new ones and oft times, their bug fixes don't even work first go; so imagine what adding in a pve & pvp set of weapon values into the game would do. It'd break the entire game...lol
Not that i am cynical or anything and i personally couldn't give a stuff about pvp based on all the com plaints i read about queue time, imbalance and outright hacking/cheating - that's not to say pvp complaints aren't perfectly justified and should if necessary be acted on. It just means i personally couldn't give a stuff about pvp.

My only discontent with lowering perk slot unlocks is that the only thing higher ego players had to look forward to was that unlock. If we had something else, then this wouldn't be an issue for me. As far as separating pve and pvp, I agree. DCUO did a great job of doing that, unfortunately it came at a cost of having to buy pve AND pvp gear. I, for one, do not use a saw but even agree that if they over-nerf it, it just ruins another great gun in the game. Anything more than a 10% drop (and even that is extreme) would ruin the gun.
Nope, not even as a joke. There are even plenty of people here in the office that would tar and feather us for that one.
