I'm so glad that I have multiple things to do with my spare time that a delay in a game update doesn't equate to the Mayans being a few months off.

But on a more serious note and this is to those who aren't aware of it, regardless of whether or not an exact date was mentioned that still doesn't take away the fact that Trion reserves every right in deciding if they want to delay the release of anything regarding Defiance or not. To save those of you who haven't taken the time to read through all of this, hence why you're surprised at the changing of release dates. I'll do you one up and specifically quote which part of the TOU's is related to this topic.

12. SALES POLICIES

A. Pre-Purchase

From time to time, Trion may sell digital versions of certain Game(s), Virtual Items), products or services through the Store prior to their actual commercial release date. The purchase of such Game(s), products and services are subject to the terms of each such offer as detailed in the applicable product description on the Store.

If you purchase a digital product through the Store (such as a Game or Virtual Item), you will (i) receive an e-mail verification of receipt of your purchase; (ii) be granted any related entitlements on your Account (such as bonus items, beta or early access, and/or a Game); (iii) be entitled to access such Game, product or service upon its commercial release; and (iv) not receive any physical product from Trion.

Any game time entitlements (such as thirty (30) days game time included with purchase of a Game by a new Game Account) shall commence upon your initial log in to your Account following such Game’s commercial release.

Please keep in mind that all release dates are estimates only and are subject to change.

This is why you shouldn't be surprised when a release date concerning anything to do with Defiance is pushed back or delayed for any reason. Regardless of how much any side goes on about DLC being delayed it will not speed up the process in which it'll be added to the game. Losing the head over this is also a waste of time and effort as we have absolutely no control over the matter, Trion's at the helm and that's that.

We all agreed to the TOU's by registering our accounts to this site, why so shocked?

I'll close this post off with this; Just because August was mentioned (which is a month, not a date) that doesn't even guarantee that the DLC will definitely be released within that time frame as there's more to it than just 'adding it to the game', there's certification processes and everything else which is out of Trion's control.

e3 they announced it for the end of july

now they say it will not be out in july


so how can you defend this?

That guy was fired for his incompetence and JUST replaced in the last week. So do research and blame the right person. Mr. Lies and Laughs is GONE! Lets us hope the new guy; Bald Jim Carry with Collin Farrell EyeBrows; actually doe work instead of just telling lies like his predeccesor.
