Apparently he was nerfed. Also, it's one of the few battles where you can't just sit there and shoot. You actually need to learn his attack patterns and counter/avoid =P.

I've seen people claim that he's been nerfed but have yet to see a single shred of evidence that he really has been. I've beaten him 5 times and haven't noticed any difference.

I am replaying and should be defeating him tomorrow, I'll let you know if he is easier.

I just completed him today and I've been playing about 4 or 5 days. EGO 400. I died a few times, but after learning his patterns it was pretty simple. I used SMG and SG and just avoided attacks.

Not sure if he was easier, but certainly did not seem as hard as people say.

I used to think Nim was hard. He is sort of but once you spend the time to get his attacks down you may die maybe once and if you get into a roll bug where you get stuck in a wall, twice.

You just need to get familiar with rolling around. And know your ego power. Each one involves a different strategy.

My favorite is just railing him with overcharge with an automatic weapon mixed with explosives. He usually goes down really fast with that.

I had a friend quit the game because they couldnt get that fight down though and it is very unforgiving if you mess up.

Exactly how a good boss fight should be. Punishing one's mistakes swiftly and forcing strategy, instead of lol SAW Ramboing.

I agree nim is good. Without being nerfed. I struggled a bit the first time through but after that I have had no problem beating him.

I'm guessing you guys that have beaten nim X amount of times continue to beat him the same way?

I've beaten nim now with 4 different types of weapons

1st clustershot, cloak ego lost 180 scrip, 1 extract, rolled by nim wrong shield and load out
2nd vbi SMG, decoy ego lost 180 scrip, 1 extract, in tunnel bulwarks killed me
3rd vbi tacc autopistol, cloak ego, lost 180 scrip, 1 extract, gang melee'd by dark matter and elite monitor
4th courier sawn-off shotgun, overcharge ego, lost 360 scrip, 2 extracts, rolled by the tunnel sentry guns

next 4 play throughs I'll be using these weapons to kill him crash boomer or rpg melee attacks (only cause it looks cool) or grenade only or charge blade with blur.

GOT to make them at least interesting and fun to try out

Any real news on Nim's nerf status?

I remember my first time facing him I had to have died at least 3 times. I finally won with an immunizer/BMG, of all things.

When my second character faced him (maybe last month) he seemed much easier. I was using a basic FRC shotgun that time. If the heavy scatterguns were like how they used to be, I think I would have totally wrecked him.
