Wtf did I just see... Ultimate edition is now $59.99 ... We've come that low now?

Saw it linked to the defiance site and apparently it's dirt cheap now... Really? I m seeing this as a money grab more than anything else and I m shocked trion wants to sell the game that cheap ... I mean it's been 4 months since release (give or take) and its dropped in value that much ?!?!
Cut ties with trion 100% and now surfing forums for people looking for their out off the wagon of trions aftermath. Pm me for details

    Contacted Microsoft
Informed of unplayablity with content and game.
    Refunded for season pass
Sold defiance to GameStop for $7.00 and put it towards gta 5
Contacted better business to inform of trions shady dealings.

lol they're hurting for money what more can you honestly say. Final Fantasy is coming out so there going to get gutted by a large of amount of player base and so is GtaIV. Defiance isn't a mmo (which imo is an excuse to be held to a certain standard) that gives you no clear advantages by leveling up and continuing to play. That being said don't have to many high hopes for the dlc because realistically they may have almost been done but I guarantee they had to cut off a chunk of content across all dlc's when they had all of those layoffs.

Not trying to lay "hate" on the game before I get pounced on, just laying in an observation.....

Games drop in price quickly due to under-performing or losing a chunk of the player base in a short space of time. It doesn't matter how long a game has been out when the sales figures aren't what was expected.

The people that "really" wanted the game, already have it. Now they need to bring in those that were on the fence.

that's the reason. MMO of any kind needs huge player base. Selling dirty cheap (at least for some time) is a way to get it ... but unfortunately it also brings all sorts of hackers in (like we didn't have any before )

The game hasn't dropped in value. It's dropped in price. It's as good as it ever was, and in fact is becoming better. But, most people who were willing to pay top prices for it already have. Lowering the price is one way to bring in more players, players that the game needs.

It happens with every game. That's why pre-orders are so important and pre-release hype is used to ensure pre-orders. And before people jump all over that hype comment, Trion had far less hype than I've seen for other games, and no unsubstantiated pre-release claims.

The success of games and the bulk of the real sales tend to happen with pre-orders and release day and release week sales. Later sales are desired and often come in waves. When the DLC is released there will be a resurgence of interest and maybe a slight spike in the price of the base game for some versions.

The thing is I've never seen a good game have such a major price drop within four months unless it's due to a summer sell or something. I wouldn't be surprised now more than ever that new skins in the cash store become more expensive.

What is telling about this is that so far the only place that seems to have that deal is Gamestop. It says it is exclusive to them so that means they have a deal going.
