I think many people feel this way me included. I think its sad when people cannot come up with their own unique name and just rip off someone elses

Well good minds think the same... Don't think for a second that a name you come up with, its not thought by another. Some names you think is so rare or unique maybe its not. Either you took it before someone else or someone have a unique way to spell it.

I agree with that^^^ I mean you just never know if someone else thought of your name or not. But what I meant mostly is someone putting your same name and spelling it differently or adding numbers to it just seems kind of cheesy to me.

I'm actually putting some thought into my name JUST IN CASE the beyond mathematical chance that it's 'selected' to be used in the show. Normally it'd be my screen name I've used since the early 90s when there was just telnet style 'internet' and MUDs but that just doesn't fall off the tongue in a show I could use my screen name here (my last name) which I HIGHLY doubt would be used by anyone else (HAHA seriously). I didn't think it'd be so tough to decide!
