Physical copies ( like the collectors or Deluxe ) do come with items that some people wanted over digital items.
On to the topic at hand. If this doesn't happen they are going to get a lot of crap for it. It will also mark a failed launch and thats never good. Lots of people like physical copies of the game. So many people pre ordered from stores vs Steam. Hopefully this is fixed before Monday. If they don't, its gonna look REALLY bad.

look i understand the fact that some people might want the stuff from collectors but regular physical copy still waste of time and space..
yeah maybe stuff from collectors wont be such a waste but yet you have to wait for it to come..
on topic on-hand i am digital customer and i will start play whenever the server starts.. i do believe in grace-period in online gaming since i think everybody has a right to start at the same time..
They could always just tell the stores to release on Monday or not turn on servers until 8am pdt on Tuesday.
i would think that would be harder than just adding a grace period. I really don't understand this online games have been launching for a long time now, grace periods are just logical. this way you can give all of your paying customers even footing to start the game. not tell some that bought your most expensive version that they can't have their copy right there and can't play for 14 hours.

Most of the gamestops should have their copies before launch day. Mine (I live in the middle of NO WHERE) already has my UE. Went in today to look around and asked if I could see it. They brought it out of the back. The box is freaking massive, at least 3ft long. cant wait for tuesday morning!
thats great kinda crap they wont just give it to you now. They'll take your money but wont give you the box they clearly have....
