We all have the same vehicles unless you have the pickup. Nothing sets them apart from everyone else aside from buying a brand new vehicle just for a color.
I'd personally love to be able to customize the engine and body. Add a ram to the front that knocks the bigger enemies away instead of just blowing us up, roll cage on a runner lol, and of course general stuff under the hood. Just a thought and would make vehicles and racing more in-line with the rest of the game. Minigames of just running skitterlings or pow over.
