How was PC performance in Beta?

I didn't get a chance to play but I did preorder through steam. I am a current rift player so I like Trion. What type of performance (FPS) were you getting during gameplay and what type of system do you have?
    Example:
    I7-3610qm
    Nvidia 650GTX
    1080p resolution
    in game settings (high)
    50 FPS avg.

    Thanks for your responses.
Also did you notice if this game is like rift where it favors 1 core only?

I didn't watch how many cores it uses. But I can tell you my experience with the game.

    i7-2670QM
    GTX 570m
    1080p resolution
Settings high (not many customization options, just low medium high)
No noticable frame drop, I never monitored the actual frame rate but it felt to always be 45-60 which is very playable. I believe rift is more graphically demanding than Defiance.

I've participated in massive arkfalls on this machine, 50+ players there. Even then I didn't experience any slowdown.

slightly worse system stats then OP, but at 2550X1600 res with setting on high and had no problems with preformance even during the largest arkfalls.

Well my tablet ran it well, IDK the frame rate but it felt pretty smooth the specs for that are:
    (A mix between med-high at 1080p)
    I5 2.7GHz
    4GB ddr3
    64GB SSD
    HD4000
    Windows 8 Pro

And my desktop ran it at about 50FPS the specs are:
    (everything maxxed out at 1080P)
    8GB DDR3 ram
    256GB SSD
10TB "worth" of external HDD - Harcon
    AMD 6970
    Asus P8P67 Deluxe
    I7 2600K
    Windows 8 Pro

So I would have to say the game runs great, I would say you would even get decent FPS on a low end PC.

    Flawless performance.

    GTX 660
    i7-3770K
Used 512 GB HDD (and not SSD)
    Asus Z77 Sabertooth w/ Windows 8 Pro x64
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 + (Highest settings in terms of graphics)
    Location: Sacramento, CA. Internet: 35/5.

I don't ever remember lagging and the game played surprisingly smooth for a beta. There were a few glitches here and there but in terms of performance, it's definitely top notch.

Edit: In response to your one core question, I've never played Rift but I'm almost certain this game would run smoothly even on a dual-core.

Thank you all who replied. I was able to test out the xbox 360 beta, but am thinking of picking it up for PC instead. I'm hoping there will be enough PC players though, judging from the number of posts/threads, it seems the Xbox version is getting a lot more attention.

I figure it'll run fine though on my PC though:
    Intel core-i7 quad (3.6ghz)
    16gb DDR3
    GTX670
    Win8

I have a quad core system and they all got used, Core1 about 70 - 80%, the others from 30 - 50% (typical situations). I live in Denmark and tested on both the EU and NA sites. From Amsterdam during very busy activity (Like Arkfalls) I had ~ 35 FPS, NA same situation ~ 27 FPS. I have an OK, not great graphics card and I ran with highest graphics settings. I found performance to be good from both sites even though Dallas is 5000 miles away.

You will have zero problems. I had no lag or graphical issues and my system is slightly worse than yours (same vid card though)
