Question about weapon XP

Use another although the was talk that you could reset the weapon xp but I don't think that has been confirmed maybe someone else could give a definite answer on this.

Resetting weapon skills?? Of course nothing is confirmed, but if thats true thats a huge fail in my book.

you wouldn't be resetting weapon skills you would be resetting the xp on the weapon and getting rid of the skill you obtained from maxing out the weapon the base skills of the weapon remain intact.

Is there a reason for wanting/needing to reset xp or the skill?

Does resetting the xp/skill on said weapon means when you level it up again you will have different upgrade skills?

Im really interested in knowing.

I don't know about getting a differnt skill but it will allow you to keep leveling up your overall weapon skill

Once the weapons itself reaches max XP, its suppose to be swapped out for another weapon, so you can keep leveling your skills. Max XP weapons, no longer level your weapon skills so there's no point in keeping it, unless you want it for the bonus stats it gained.

As far as I know, you cannot reset a weapon once it reaches max XP, this encourages people to always change up their main weapons. I know it may pee off some people but its an MMO, not an FPS, so keep the weapon if you want to use it for battles and so on but just remember, no skill increases if your at max XP with it. There's plenty of weapons to go around and no need to stick with one type, just swap it out for another class and level that while you search for a new drop. .

Double barrel Shotgun will be a pain to get to skill 20 -.- @ 2 shots per reload + 1hr to reload the gun (sarcasm)

Once you level the weapon up you will add an extra weapon bonus ie greater mag capacity by resetting the xp you would effectively lose that bonus and have to lvl that weapon up again. This would allow you to increase your weapon proficiency as maxing out the xp on a weapon stops progression. (Should have used the term bonus instead of skill as its slightly confusing)

It's been discussed that they will add a way to reset your gun's mastery. (a re roll on the weapons random stat)
