xbox 360 defiance april 12th release

Hello I had my copy of defiance pre orders since Jan from Amazon today I have seen it on amazon saying release is the 12th so I had a chat with Amazon to witch they are saying that's the release date they were given is there anyone who can confirm this or is there information wrong I did argue but they were adamant that it was 12th
