awesome, just clarification on this 'all mobs *can* drop legendaries' comment. Its obviously not the case, even in my experience with a smaller sample of 5000 items, my results were identical to Zoranths.

We'd just like other options for higher gear without having to pull it out of a box! I want to tear a legendary item out of Diag's chest, or reach down the throat of a slain matron and pull out a pimp shotgun from the previous sap she swallowed up yesterday...

I sent this over to the devs to have them give me a bit more solid info. From perusing everything you guys have said in this thread, I want to wait on what they have to say after giving this is a read - but I wanted to let you know we've seen it.

Thank you for looking at this and passing it on to the DEV's. Hopefully they can provide some answers to the questions that have been brought up and provide a fix\patch for the problem.

I will now stop any further testing of the drop rates/loot tables for open world enemies unless they come back and say something has been changed/fixed or if it's current state of "Broken" persists for an extended period of time.

I debated whether or not to reply to this as being called a liar when you aren't is horrible. I have had one purple drop before. I just recently joined the forums and had no idea that people would have wanted me to take a picture of it. I was quite surprised myself as I had been playing a while and never seen a purple drop from an enemy. Anyways if you don't believe me then whatever, just thought you'd like to know.

Wait, so a large thread that has been going on for weeks about a major issue is JUST now being 'passed' on to the devs to get looked into?

Well, this is confirmation that no dev reads stuff here nor are issues passed on to them unless it really gets the filthy peasants upset.

Best way to remedy that is to show proof with a screen shot. Is this really that hard to do? Apparently it is! Until a pic is posted, it's all a myth.

I for one will not call you a Liar! in the sense that you are probably taking it. It is just that there have been so many claims from people that have been here for a very long time saying they have gotten either a purple or orange off of the ground without any proof that the majority tend to disbelieve it first. This is why here as with most claims in a MMO it is a standard saying "Pic or it did not happen". Now for the actual question, was it from a regular mob ( such as a common mutant, raider, hellbug? or micro boss such as hulker or monarch, emergency micro boss such as a trembler or vulge elite trooper, bomber, elite bomber...etc, or a side mission, main mission,coop, coop boss, minor arkfall or major arkfall, near a minor crystal of the major or as a reward for a major arkfall. Before you ask, yes, this does make a difference. For future reference, if you are using Steam then you can use F12 to take a screenshot, if not on steam hit the print screen button then open up Paint and paste the screen capture.

ten4 As much as I appreciate your support for the cause I have presented here. This individual is fairly new to these forums and may not have known of the "pic or it did not happen", the statement of "Is it really that hard to do? Apparently it is!" is an unjust statement towards someone who is relatively new to our community without digging into more details of his claimed drop. Please do not take this as a slap to the face or anything, I am just trying to keep this as professional as I can. Especially now that the CM's and DEV's eyes are on the post so that it does not get closed due to degradation of the content.

one thing that no one seems to touch on is that blues dont drop either. only time blues ever drop is when you kill a big enemy like a blacklung or a monarch

As WarHoundZero already pointed out, there's the possibility the loot tables were changed to drive more people to buy lockboxes (and maybe loot boosts). Just because a number other things are broken, doesn't mean this is a bug.

Well the boosts are mostly pointless right now anyways, oh ya more whites and greens, oh joy. Someone would have to be pretty re-re to buy lockboxes with bits, since you're going to get mostly blues anyways. Early on in the game whites were bugged and it looked like you were picking up oranges, but the most I've seen on the ground is a blue and I'm pretty sure that is the highest you can find. Arkfalls and lockboxes are your only other option for purples or better besides occasional purples in specials at vendor, and those seem rarer anymore.
