Not entitled to play

I get the message " Login succesful, but this account is not entitled to play Defiance"

Is that because the game has not launched or is there an account issue??

yes I have pre-orderdered and have played in the last Beta.

It's pretty much saying that the game is locked until release date.

This happened to me last night, went to account managment and clicked the "Download Client" and once I had the Patcher up and on my Desktop I got the same error when I tryed to log in. I hit ok and left it there, and went to the forums to see if there was a work around just so at least I could start downloading the game. I didn't find anything besides what just happened to me. Went back to the patcher (username & Pasword still in it) and hit login again this time it got to the next screen that had the "Update" on it which I did and it downloaded the game.

so try logging in 2 times without closing the patcher down I think that is how it worked for me hope this helps

you haven't been authorized to preload. You will be soon. they're not letting everyone initiate the preload at the same time because it'd clog the servers. if it's not available to preload by tomorrow, check back here

Verifying my email address on Trion's account management solved the entitlement problem for me.

that's just the launcher. the launcher downloads the actual client. they have been staggering access to the download since yday. if you can't log in tot he launcher to downlod the client, you will be given access throughout today and the course of the weekend.

just attempt to log in now and then, after making sure you've verified your email address and set up security questions.
