that's y guild wars 2 betas always started ahead of annonced time and the game also went live like 3 hours before announced lol.... but that was just arenanet and it was only a couple hours just to make sure everyone got to get in by "go time"!

guild wars 2 was pc exclusive and a majority of the player base ordered via electronic means. They COULD Turn the servers on early and not run the risk of pissing a vast majority of their player base off. This is not the case with defiance

I doubt there will be a server crash. Maybe the console servers will be a bit laggy but that is the extent of issues I see with that. As for why the servers shouldn't go active till the set date is so they are ready i.e. proper staffing on hand, time to fix bugs in the game (and no opening the servers wont help with this as it will likely take man power away from the task), so they don't get sued for false advertising, any other number of reasons said already.

You and the others weren't suppose to get you games early and all your doing by puting it out there that you got it early and stating your "opinion" trying to get a head start is ticking others off by rubing it in.

I'm just happy I've got my copy of the game, I'm at work Tuesday but when I get back I've got Wednesday and Thursday off,goodbye real world and hello defiance world...

The rest of us want to play as well. But we have to wait until the game is released. Why should he get to play early because some company sent him the game early?

I've seen multiple copies of Defiance at work. So if I were to steal one, that means I should be allowed to play before everyone because I got the game early as well right?

It's nice that you want to get playing as soon as possible, but it's probably not gonna happen. And if it does happen. there possibly might be a massive **** storm from the people that cannot play bacause they did not get there copies early.

Someone probably brought this up already but I doubt if the servers are ready to go and there are probably still fixes that will be added to the patch up until Monday night.

I am also pretty damn sure the Trion team working on this game is working straight through the holiday.

I know alot of people have recieved their copy of the game early and there all a little annoyed they have to wait untill the 2nd to play, i am one of those people. But why should people pay for a game that you cannot play as soon as you have it in your possesion?

I know its not scheduled for release untill the 2nd and not everyone who has bought the game has got their copy yet and its not the game makers fault but why should the people who do own it have to wait?

This is my opinion i welcome yours but please do not "troll" or moan like little children because you havent got your copy yet in pure jelousy thankyou

You have to wait because that is when the game is being turned on. You haven't bought a game, you have bought a LICENSE to use the content on a disc in a fashion seen fit by the developer of that title.
