For anyone getting "this account is not entitled to play DEFIANCE" error

Hasn't anyone thought that the reason it seems to be that the password changing is helping is because in the time that it takes for you to change your password..trion released your code and hence you came back and could DL the client.....which would be why those that do change there PW and can't DL it is because their codes have not been released...as they are being released over the entire weekend........

I like to think, we as a community, are not that intellectuality evolved yet.

But about the password thing, i was able to change the password without having to input any security questions. not sure why it prompts you for security answers.

I thought I would try out what the OP suggested, get to the password changing page and need to put in the 2 answers to the security questions, I was possibly a bit drunk when I first wrote the answer to them, so surprisingly enough I cannot remember them ;o)
Will have to wait for chat support tomorrow to try out the OP's suggestion.

Just relized I made a mistake with applying my CD keys. I preordered on steam then applyed my code to my trion account, but I only applied the preorder code, failed to apply the code for the game itself. After applying BOTH codes my patcher immediatly gave me the option to update, rather then the "not autherized" message. Maybe if anyone made the same mistake, heres a heads up.

I got the same error message, found the solution here, changed my password and now I can download.

For those who have trouble logging in because you forgot your secret questions, I had the same thing happen to me when I first pre-ordered. Since I wanted to use the same account with my Rift account on it, I used a support chat session and was able to change the questions, and then log in. I agree, those question choices can be very hard to find one that is definitive, and won't change with my moods, or over the years. Oh, a warning, when customer service helped me, and I picked a new question - all happy that I found a good one, I was not so happy when I first logged on, just to be told I needed to change my password and pick 2 new questions!

I really hate the TRION Security Answer crap!!!!!!

Can't you just use one security answer per freaking page.

you can't change the darn things if you can't remember the darn things and none of the security questions are questions I have definitive answers to...you can't even use your pw for both stupid *** security questions ARRRGH!!! hence I can't change my password..because I can't remember my security answers nor do the security answers match the ones I wrote down...

same problem, I chose some stupid question like whats your star name? lol..jesus fking christ is all I have to say. wish it could have been a generic one, I'm never gonna remember this lol
