    I'll just do what I did during each of the BETA weekends, follow the line of my original character, Human survivalist.

    I don't get why so many players are going Survivalist. It doesn't add any spec bonuses to your sniping skills. If anything you'll see more hardcore and gear grinders going for the semi and fully auto rifles.

    Reasoning ;

    You can down enemies quicker, complete quests quicker and, if you've played the beta, you get a better sniper rifle called the "Deadbolt," early on in the game. And even if you don't and it's different in release, you can still pick one up from loot or purchase one.

    I snipe all the time in many shooters, BF3 it's my main class, but this is an mmo shooter, and when push comes to shuve, you'll most likely rely on full autos in PvP and PvE, and really only use snipers to pick off NPCs and maybe the odd player in PvP. All in all, the snipers are good, just aren't overly useful in such an open world aspect.

    So my starter is human and veteran, then once I acquire a sniper rifle, that'll be my secondary and I'll be able to pick off NPCs at greater distances before they close the gap. Oh and I'm debating whether or not Overcharge is better than Cloak.

    Overcharge increases overrall damage, and reduces recoil, and when activated fully reloads your magazine. But the perks surrounding are geared more towards explosive kills and friendly pick ups (i.e - shield replenish after helping someone up.)

    Cloak on the other hand, has more bonuses towards damage overrall, more damage via criticals (which you should be aiming for regardless) and if I remember correctly, once cloaked your shields regen starts up instantly (or, like how Overcharge reloads fully, Cloak fully recharges your shield?). My only issue with Cloak is when you take damage it appears as though it uncloaks you, so once you're compromised in PvP your bonuses are shot to ****.

    The Survivalist starting outfit has a little propane can stuck in the backpack. I love that little propane can.
