Back when Defiance came out, as result of the somewhat subpar support from Trion and the game itself......

Now that the game is $20, I'm thinking of picking it up again.

My question is:

Will it be worth picking up again?

I picked up the game just recently so unlike some of the veterans here I can only talk about early game experiences I've had. So here it goes;

When I first played the game I was unsure what I thought and that's because I reckon I spent most of the time comparing this game to other highly rated MMORPGs I've played in the past. (WoW for example) But truth be told the two games aren't even similar. What I'm trying to say is if I spent less time doing the above and more time appreciating the game for its own highs then I would of loved it from the start like I do now.

There's so much going on in the world whether it be arkfalls, quests or co op missions to ego levels and mods that its quite a lot to take in at first but when you do. My word is it worth it? Most definitely. This is one of the very few games I've picked up recently that I can say is money well spent.

I also noticed people said early on they had problems with latency. But I've had none since I've started.

Id recommend this game to friends.

IMO, sure, have another go at it. It is, after all, just a game... you need to relax and enjoy it for what it is.

If you rage quit and break your possessions that easily then my answer to you would be a resounding "no".

Really depends. If you had lag and constant disconnects before, it only got worse. I fear that you'd only resort to cracking the disc again if you went to Arkfalls and constantly got kicked to the title screen before the payout.

I would also wait until the DLC finally releases and gauge the response to it. No sense in putting forth the time and effort only to be discouraged again.

Folks, give this former player a break (NO PUN INTENDED). It is possible that the class has already been taken. Besides, it may not have been an intentional break. Anonymous Tom, come on back and keep a cooler head. Slapping your CD is akin to throwing down your game pad in disgust.. but I'm sure nobody on this forum has ever done THAT awful act. Passion is best served chilled.

Not only that but take into account return policies at the store of choice. I believe Gamestop still has a 7 day no question asked return policy (don't remember if it was just for used games or all games though). If that is still true, then spend 5 days with the game and if you still don't like it return it for a full refund.
