I was able to order a UE as of yesterday at my gamestop

They'll sell you one alright. Whether you'll get it on launch day or not is another thing.

I just got back from Gamestop and they told me they only had one preorder for an Ultimate Edition and they only recieved one(mine). I asked him about a midnight opening he said they won't be having one. But he told me that he wanted to get the game at midnight so he might keep the store open so he can buy it. He told me to call him up on Monday and he'll let me know if he can keep the store open so me and him can get our games at midnight. I thought that was really nice of him. So hopefully I can get it at midnight. If not I'll be there bright and early when they open on Tuesday.

Checked with my local gamestop where i preordered my UE and it has not arrived yet, just says in transit but with the holiday very possible it will arrive late. Disappointed in gamestop but really what's a few more days i guess, just a few more days i get with Rift or DCUO or something else till it gets here.

New user here. I went to two gamestops to see if I could preorder the UE this evening but they were only taking standard editions preorders. Going to order it online, luckily I'm starting college this week so it wouldn't be that bad if my order got delayed.

I'm assuming that's why the manager at mine had to specifically hound them to be sure it was sent overnight. I wonder if this is usual for the higher-end editions, or if it's just a side-effect of a holiday weekend. I would assume it is the latter, but I've only ever bought two collector's edition games in the past, and never one of these "above collector's edition" level items.

I preordered the UE on GameStop's website, but I am really not expecting to actually get it on launch day. Especially after the nightmare I went through with them around my Guild Wars 2 CE.

I was hoping I'd get emailed some pre-order confirmation code I could put on my account to get a few days grace period, but that doesn't seem to have happened.

dont they print the code on the reciept? just go to defiance and input code then bam client is downloaded

if yo are buying retail the codes are in the box. the only code on the receipt is the pre-order retailer exclusive content

it's too late to buy the ue from any retailer and expect to get it day one, unless you live near a fry's electronics. i may drop by one tuesday and see if they have a pallet of them sitting on the main floor like they always do day one of any game release with a collectors edition.
