first person view ?

would you mind telling me if there is a option to turn first person view permanently on? i cant stand third person shooters at all

No, its a 3rd person shooter / mmo. From where this first person shoot stuff came, i'll never know. Long story short, even though a PC graphics card can handle both a 1st and 3rd POV, a console's wont. So it's one or the other. Trion chose 3rd person for all.

I was watching a live stream of the dev playing defiance and they answered that question that it will only be 3rd person.

I'm a FPS fan, no denying that. But even i understand the need for MMOs to mainly be 3PS.
How else would we admire that awesome shiny new weapon/armor drop we received?

Putting the FOV to 40 for see more close your character... with that FOV i think you will see the hairs of his arm...
