color is sort of not an issue actually.
The whites, greens, blues, purples, etc all survive on their own merits and are not necessarily a better weapon.

Case in point - I had a green sniper weapon that totally whipped a purples butt.

I suggest ignoring the color entirely and examine the specs.

You are color blind - understand.
The weapons that dropped made me color blind.

Grab it all and if it is not your cup of tea then crush it into script scraps.
    Works for me..

It's funny how the asterisks just turn it into static. I hardly notice it's there anymore.

Actually DS, your color issues are not all that uncommon. When I worked building aircraft in the 70's they did a study on pilots. One of the questions was why a vast majority of Old pilots were blue eyed. Turns out that there is a regressive gene that causes blue eyes and it makes you almost totally immune to color blindness. All other males show various degrees of color issues by the age of 40. Women are immune since the regressive gene is normal to them.
When your wife says Are You Going To Wear That - listen to her.

Funny part of this tale was when I questioned a pilot heading to a brown plane when he was told the green was ready. He mentioned a problem telling the difference. I asked him how he fooled the color test to keep his license and he confessed his twin brother went in for that.

Point here is that you are not as alone as you seem to think. Sort of off topic but I deemed it worth pointing out.

See previous post for actual response to your issue.

I'm colorblind as well (deuteranopia to be accurate). I do not have problem with weapons but have other problems ie I can't read clan chat. I need to move the camera for the chat window to superimpose with another dark color (probably dark green as it works with ground with trees).
I guess it would have been cool to be able to chose the chat window opacity level for people like me but well, I'll deal with it

wouldnt changing the color of the specific chat (if defiance has this) help you out on this? i know other games ive played have had this feature but i personally never use them as i do not have color blindness.
