I do Kickboxing as well as Muay Thai which, contrary to popular belief, is quite different from Muay Thai. Muay Thai, I find, is good for close range striking, with elbows and knees being a big focus, while Kickboxing is good for getting shots in at maximum range using extended kicking and jabbing. I'm more into stand up striking arts personally, so I'm not really interested in competing in MMA at all, though I've got a Blue Belt in Jujutsu (Japanese not Brazilian) as well so can more than manage on the ground also.
what style?..i did muay boran for about 2 yrs or so...thats where you wrap your fists in hemp rope and hurts like hell when you get hit, its an old traditional style not really seen nowadays cuz most people prefer using the 4 oz gloves, plus you get cut pretty viciously in muay boran due to the ropes knotted up on your knuckles...

muay boran is shown in the 1st ong bak movie when tony jaa fights that guy in the end...he's wrapping hemp rope around his fore arms and fists, pretty brutal but then again ive been in love with muay thai since i was a kid

I do not agree with this war for oil, its not for freedom or any other BS you amercians come up with, amercia have been doing this since after WW2 ,you think all the worlds natural resources should be yours, greedy people.
I could go on on, but the fact that Amercia is the only country to use a atomic bomb, but now think they own the rights and ONLY countrys they allow can make them, this says alot to the type of country amercia now is, its a shame europe/UK have stood by such thugs, who arm rebels to over run a countries goverment all in the name of freedom. I think you will find since 2001 9/11 alot of our freedoms have been taken away.

I'm pretty sure that England has no moral ground to stand on from a historical perspective here.

In any government, there is always corruption... And for any soldiers who will come and say we didnt fight for oil but for my freedom? I was Ex Navy, I did my time.. and i can tell you we did it for the oil. Not to say that all of our soldiers did though... a lot of us wanted to kick terrorist ***. From what I gather though, there will always be people willing to take advantage of any given situation to suit their own needs. I mean look at the US Illegalizing Weed... *Thanks to politicians who had stock or owned lumber companies and their sling campaigns* And we as the US arnt the only ones... world wide, people in power take advantage for use of their own advantages. As a American, I find it crazy that we dont conform some of the good ideas other nations had do to the idea that we might completely become that form of government. Case, and point. Why not have socialized Med/Schools? Not like im saying lets become a socialist government, simply saying that if you turn educations and medicine into a business, your often gonna get worst quality in chase of higher profit margins. And why not teach kids about all religions and knowledge... I mean granted if your against your kid learning about other cultures and beliefs, your more then welcome to exempt em from such courses, but I dont see why more enlightened people should miss out on a higher education because of the viewpoints of others. I also know we have the means for higher energy quality, fuel alternatives, and sciences that been around long before I was even born not being used do to those who make more money from oil, gasoline, and crap work. When does a handfull of green paper, and temporary power outweight the need to advance the betterment of the entire world? Just boggles me how illogical people in general can be. I also find it funny when people spout enlightenment and then say the most close minded things... like sheep really. I base my ideas of researching as many points of views I can, why is it so hard for others to do so? (And that is my rant for the evening... ty)
