i was going to buy aliens: colonial marines when it 1st came out but i saw it had sooooo many negative reviews, which suck because im a huge alien fan ( got all the movies, comics, collectible cards and video games lol ) most people said the xeno's in the game acted more like zombies or enemies from a cod game and that kinda depressed me a bit

I see your collection is almost as big as mine. In which case, yes, pick it up. Lore-wise the only mistake was including an FTL ship. Other than that it is worth getting as a mini-movie between aliens and alien 3. But yeah, don't expect gameplay as awesome as the original avp fps on pc/jaguar.

Uhhhhh..... I loved the story and how it served as an actually good bridge, but there is one MASSIVE plot problem other than that.

yes i'm aware the prisoners said they'd found hicks' corpse in the wreckage of the shuttle. but people love ret-conning, and i'm more pissed about adding Faster Than Light travel to a franchise that is scary specifically because there is no immediate help coming, than i am about changing their minds about killing 1 character off-screen.

That's wayyyy more than a ret-con to hardcore Alien fans. That's downright blasphemy and disregard for stated canon. Also, I didn't mention it because it's a huge spoiler, so SHHHHHH!!!!!

oh yeah, i remember playing avp on the jaguar 64, woooow didnt you take me waaaay back lmao...well i know aliens: colonial marines is suppose to show exactly what happened after the atmo processor blew in " aliens " and that im stoked about, its just how the aliens acted in the game from what everyone has said that had me worried lol, being keen on realism and all i hope that the game is realistic enough to scare the crap out of me when i play it lmao

how would they find hicks's body when he died on fury 161 in alien 3?...and not to mention they cremated newt and his body in the blast furnace, got the movie right now lol

Don't listen to peoples opinions on the xeno AI Chris. Everyone's to caught up in their stupid-*** social fads (like zombies) to think. The alien AI was what alien AI ought to have been. At pretty much any point in the game, you'll feel like, "OH mother****er, they're everywhere!"

ah so they just pour in from every nook and cranny?...now thats nice cuz in aliens, they pretty much did just that towards the end of the movie lmao...but how do they act though is my question, will they just run at you like mad or if you're mowing em down do they try to seek cover and find ways to get to you and all? do they have thought and act individually or just mindless, cuz the aliens in the movie had thought and intelligence rivaling the marines, well till sigourney went into the hive and blew it to hell and back lol
