Is this actually serious?
I mean, I pre-ordered too and I'm getting one, but it is a little stupid that the first car I'm going to own is going to be the best car I can ever get in the entire game?
It would make sense if it was like good for the first day of play or something, then you can find/buy a better one. But, best car I'm ever gonna have?
So I can look forward to absolutely no car upgrades and seeing 50% of people using the same car as me...?

The origin ATV you get is very fast - but lacks a lot of boost and runs out quickly when the pedal is to the metal.
A red one you claim later from a side quest is not as quick - but has a better damage rating and a lot more boost.
Probably going to be like the weapons - one trait better - another not so much..
we will have to wait and see.

fastest =/= best
if we can use the cerberus vehicles in PvE then i will be driving in that most of the time.
dodge for long-distance travel, cerberus for short-distance travel
It might be the fastest but after playing that doesnt mean its the most fun or useful, its a rough world and off road vehicles with more HP 's are for me (yes vehicles have hot points that car is going to be fast but squishy)
Im looking at it like it is the fastest car in Defiance right now. With the DLC coming out im sure there will be better and if not I did see something about paints/skins to change your cars
Who would not do the pre-order will be slower than you.
Understand that the car plus a gift for you not cease to be a punishment for those who do not do the pre-order.
And everything in the game has skill, every type of vehicle and the car is only one type. if you want to have everything at max skill, you need to have or use other kinds, and every odd lvl gain a new stat.
I heard from people who drove it during the beta, they say it is probably the top Tier car in speed, but it also resemble the typical muscle cars, straight line speed is max, but not so much in handling. I also heard there are rally racing buggies that just as fast as the red dodge, but handling much better. So I think it is not the best car in the game.
Personally, I don't care how fast it goes, as long as it crashes giant bugs.
Its only fastest on road in the beta the atv moved much faster off road then the roller did so its a double edged sword
