Defiance VS Destiny?

I agree, they are different in many aspects and I will play both. It just irks me that not a single bone has been thrown Defiance's way when these "innovative features" are announced when they are already being used.

Oh yeah I mean I agree that they could definitely have thrown Defiance a bone (and some new players) by mentioning it & the similarities. But they obviously just credited the other well-known games in an attempt to bring more people to them instead haha.

Because Trion doesn't have the amount of money for advertising and paying off game "journalists" that Activision does.

I doubt this game will "kill" Defiance. there's a price to pay for those highly detailed graphics. either the game is not that massive and/or is highly instanced with loading screens between areas. They are in different genres IMO. With that said, Destiny looks like it will be very good, is there a PC version confirmed?

As for Destiny well first person games have never been for me, and they tend to make me sick for some reason.
Destiny however i am actually pretty excited about and will just suck it up playing fps i guess

In response to Trion not having the money to advertise like other game companies do...they are backed by the SyFy channel!!! I think because it is not taking off the way they hoped, they are pretty much just giving up on the game, keeping the promised content and updates going til the end of the show on the network, then we will see the servers shut down. Developers seem to be in it solely for the quick dollar, or at least to keep investors happy, and if those dollar signs don't fly fast enough, games are kinda let go so to speak, rather than catering to the players, the companies cater to the investors.

While I am looking forward to Destiny, I get the feeling a lot of people are going to be disappointed with it. Far too many people seem to have set the bar really high and believe its going to be some great FPS MMO, but tbh its looks more like it plays like a BL/BL2 style co-op with world events that allows everyone to join the same server until its over.

Destinys 70's retro sci-fi art style has had me interested since the concept art reveal.

I'm more interested in the story and lore of that game than the gameplay.

As for Defiance... I think that its more or less killing itself.

Me personally cant wait for its release....wish it came out today man...so there was something to do until i can actually play this game.
