Vehicles can run on petrohol or gulanite, or both. I'm fairly certain as you ride little collectors on the underside of your vehicle collect upthrown dust and filters out the gulanite dust and uses it as fuel...or something.

This game need fuel or some kind of power resurse in order to drive the vehicles in the game.
Lets say 1 unit of fuel for ATV's for 100 km, 1.5 for cars and 2 for big trucks.
And this fuel can be found in the world around, loot or buy from vendors for high price.
Lets say you can get like 10 or 20 units from early mission completion and after that you must buy/find it.
I know many of you guys will not like the idea but i think it is great, because you must decide where to go, how much to drive around and can you afford that.
This also can be added to micro transaction market.

Worse idea in history of ideas for mmos.

Lol why would you want to complicate things for us? I'm sure they have planned enough money sinks like deaths, etc. So what'll be the purpose, other than adding realism? And if it's to be make it more realistic, do you want to add food and water as well?

The idea of fuel for cars in Defiance. Makes me want to cry. Not that it is a bad idea or anything, I just wont be able to cruise around for a few hours taking in the scenery.
