Would still be nice to know whether on not you have to link the game disc to your console though. Not all of us are sending our SE's back. I want to know if I can give one of my copies to a friend.

All the editions have a code, that code links to your account (and this a license to use the game) so I don't think you can. Once the code is used you could give it to a friend but they would need to BUY a new code (like when there is a code to play online)

But I got my SE today and the only code in the box is for the bonuses. There's no mention in the (really crappy) booklet that this code also links your disk to the account. I'm sure I'll find out Tuesday so you could well be right.

Looks like the linking will be a separate code when you create your character then. Figures...

I'm guessing there is another code in addition to the one on the back of the manual. The one on the manual says it is for digital content redemption and you redeem it after the tutorial, in game, at the Defiance store. Wouldn't have thought this would impact at all on the SE/UE 'linking' codes. A code was generated on screen at the start of the beta to link to the Trion account. That is probable where the other code is still going to be.
