Which are we waiting for? The patch or the dlc.

Exactly. Not only that but Xbox360 already has the achievements in place wich usually means Microsoft gave the greenlight. Do you have yours showing yet?

Let me take a look right now... nope, they're not showing up yet.

Sony = Playstation Network which is free
Microsft = Xbox Live which costs $60 a year for the EXACT same service.

To which, I always say... you get what you pay for. Bottom line. Besides, it won't be much longer until PSN WILL NOT be free anymore, with the recent announcement that a PS+ sub will be required for PSN once the PS4 launches. And in my humble opinion, Sony has a LONG way to go before their newtork is even close to being as reliable as Microsoft's has been. Long story short... PSN is the tortoise, and XBL is the hare.

Could be either. I have just heard a lot better things from Sony. Including the desire to better work with 3rd party and independent developers. Micro$oft is definitely the greedier of the two and has a tendency to work less with 3rd party and hardly at all with independent developers. On top of that

JxSin, all of what you say here is true, but there is one single bit of evidence you've overlooked which kind of kills your arguement. Take a close look at those release dates.

I don't think Sony releases trophies before the DLC is out. I've never noticed any games having trophies out before you could actually get them. Then again, I don't check much as I don't play for trophies

DCUO is but one of several games that I've noticed have trophies listed before their DLC/expansion is released to the public.

Honestly my concern as a season pass holder (aka dumb schmuck, sucker etc etc) is that if they can't even get one dlc out within the first 4+ months, how are they going to get all 5 out by the time season 2 starts? Not a hope in hell imo and the smoke screen being blown by the new EP and dahanese wont last very long and when it clears i expect the view will still be the same - missed deadlines, excuses and no communication.

I never have issues with PSN. Hardware wise, Playstation has proven to be more reliable. True that PSN will start charging, but if you want to compare ps vs Xbox on E3, Sony killed Microsoft. Microsoft had to completely change a lot of things because PS4 preorders dominated Xbox ones. But this isn't a topic about console wars because that's like a conversation about which religion is best. Everyone has their own opinion and it is right in their eyes. Besides, my hate of Microsoft extends to all their products, not just Xbox.

I was affected by the skyrim crap. It boiled down to running into glitch after glitch when trying to port it over. Do I think it would have been different if it came out on all 3 platforms at the same time? I do because they probably would have caught it sooner. Sure the DLC would have been delayed for all systems but not 7 months

I was going by this and under the impression that "this year" means between launch of game and start of season 2 (which would be over a year btw).

Our first DLC is coming up and we will be revealing that release date soon…it will not be out this month. Fine, we will tell you that it will be in August but don’t’ tell anyone else. Ok? I know I can trust you. We did want to get this out sooner but we had some launch issues to take care of first. We will get into more of that later. As a reminder, this DLC is all about the Castithan. There is the playable Castithan species, Charge Blades, Arena game modes, a new Story Mission line, and more! And don’t worry, we still have our planned total of 5 DLCs that we will be releasing throughout the first year of the game.

have to go home but on the DLC legal agreement it states Dec 2014. I know they do not say it but in their legal agreement that is the time frame they have to produce the content.

Ah the legalese, i must confess that my cynicism hasn't forced me to dig through that to find out specifics of a worst case scenario. Good to know though. I guess we're both right in our own way in the end. Personally, i would prefer to take what the people making the game are saying at face value where ever possible, though with Trion that's kind of hard since their track record seems to indicate their word doesn't seem to mean much when all is said and done.
