Hoarding dealers and collectors are ruining the game

First, because Sledge has made a statement about orange dropping from mobs does not and should not effect the believability of any other Trion employee.

Second, because the most populated system (according to a recent Twitch.tv Dev talk) is the Xbox, and there are very few people with Xboxes who will take a screen shot (as it requires a secondary piece of equipment like a camera or a mod to the Xbox or signal intercept), and the supposted drop rate is so small, there is a realistic, but admittedly hard to believe, very small chance an orange mob drop has actually happened on since the game went live, but not reported. (This is completely ignoring the fact that not everyone playing PC takes screenshots or videos, or the same problems with screenshots is present in PS3.)

Third, until some ACTUAL EVIDENCE of this supposed statement by a Trion employee shows up, there is no reason to believe an end user over an employee of the development company. This is especially true from a user who's only had a handful of posts NOT involved in the buying/selling of weapons and mods (and even some of the post not about it could arguably be about economics as they were in the weapon balancing threads, as how the weapons are balanced directly effects their value). The user is suggesting a course of action which would INCREASE the rarity (and thus value) of high value mods and orange weapons if his statement is false.

Until proven otherwise, the statement by the Community Manager is the only thing we can reasonably believe.

I find it extremly unlikly that there is truly a mob drop rate for legendary weapons, as outspoken as the xbox community is, surly it would have been known by now. My friends and i have farmed for days on loot weekend and i know most of the community has to. Not one word about a legendary drop at all.......we all have our own opinon on the matter......but in the end, i for one can not believe there is any kind of drop rate for legendaries.

Yup,you are all right..people hoarding hundreds of legendary weapons and mods won't effect the games algorithm for producing items at all,just like oil companies coming up with some bogus reason to slow the refining of oil into gasoline doesn't effect the fuel prices,nope not at all.

i have gotten an orange from an arkfall reward i think im the only one that i know of that got an ark shield from an actual arkfall, but this was a reward not a drop

Its easy to upload a screenshot from a camera phone. Try a google image search for defiance and any combination of orange, legendary ect. It is impossible to believe that NOT A SINGLE SCREENSHOT exists of an orange drop this long after launch.

im not real sure what u expect people do Torch, break down or sell legendaries to vendors? After they have spent (probibly) alot scrip on. Im not trying to troll, or doubt what you are saying is true. Just not sure what you expect to happen.

I believed this at first... a little but idk because unless every1s been using there good mods I'm getting lucky. Since this post I've gotten a grenadier external recoil, fast mag, hi cap.run gun hi cap and brutal crit barrel. Just buy mod caches you'll get mods. Now the thing about legendaries dropping.... well that's baloney sutro would be spewing them then that's just another typical trion lie... probably why they don't say much to us

All im saying is, Trion (so far, yes I have been a regular on GD, off topic, 360 GD and here since day one pretty much) is that it SEEMS, Trion does not give their employees all the info...

besides myself, COUNTLESS others have farmed insane amounts during the loot boost, and not ONE orange? with the percentages he gave us, that is mathematically impossible....im not talking opinions, but mathematical fact....

After a mod, JUST TOLD us its not true, and looking at Torches email, can you say the employees are informed properly???

All I'm suggesting is an expirement to prove it is not true. There is no risk an only reward can be gained by this. The only people who have something to lose are people who sell guns because the market would become more inflate with vbi assault rifles. I'm willing to do this if people are in. Remember if it doesn't work we can simply buy the item back from the vendor.
