Just received my copy of Defiance today Sat 30 March 2013. Early happy days! NOT SO!!! We are all used to inserting a new game disk for the first time only to be told " a new update has been found V 1.01" ok it's only 22MB with a 100 Meg fibre optic Internet connection should take minuets. So far my ps3 has been hanging on the "downloading updated data........Do Not turn off the system" for over half an hour WTF!
Ship the game early,only to look at it all weekend? Surely NOT! This is not a good start!!!

They don't even assume you have the discs yet. Retailers are sending them out by mistake.

Even if you could install it, servers won't go live until April 2nd. Might be a problem with your connection, your PS3, or something on Sony's servers, since that one is hosted by Sony.

Got mine today. Wasn't a mistake, but the company that delivers my games is closed because of Easter on monday, so the retailer I bought it at wanted to assure me I got it before April 2nd, instead of 2 days after. Not only that.. Namco Bandai plans on delivering their copies to retailers on april 2nd itself >_>;

You wouldn't be able to play it anyways. Just be thankful it's doing that now instead of on release day.

You cant play till the servers come up. Yes that does mean you sit and look at it.

Trolled by Trion FTW ahhahaha. Just wait till the 2nd of april dude..this isnt your regular consol game, this is an MMOFPS that is run on SERVERS! xD you have to wait just like the rest of us broseph.

While he has to wait till April 2nd to actually play, he should be able to download and install all updates avaiable at the moment. Did it myself today.

I installed disk and so called update no probs at all, took about 8mins in total

You will find out once the patch servers for the game come up not the security patchs that your not even close to being done patching lol.
