The better the LMG looks the worse the stats.

Actually, this is true for ALL the weapons in this game. Why do the fancy, shiny, high-tech, gleaming, look-like-I'm-a-professional-death-dealer guns do crap for damage, but the guns that look like they're held together with baling wire and duct tape kick anus?

Not necessarily true. I think the VBI AR is the best AR even though some others think the same of the FRC. I like the way the VBI looks as well. But see, the VBI fans and the FRC fans can argue all day which is best and it just comes down to personal tastes in the end. Other weapon types can have similar debates. You can't have that same debate with LMGs. The only debate there is which out of the thunder or the rocker sucks the least.

I don't know that LMG's need a damage buff, but less spread for both LMGs and ARs wouldn't be unwanted. I've always seen LMGs as ARs with a larger clip.

Wouldn't know about the rocker, but the disruptor's problem is the forced delay between shots. The disruptor fires 3 shots per bullet used, meaning if it fired every time you pulled the trigger, it would have beastly dps.

the one that gets better accuracy the longer the trigger is held down needs better movement accuracy, a higher accuracy rating from hipfire, and a better base crit multiplier.

Just boosting damage isn't what LMG's need, they need overall tuning as weapons.

Because not everybody likes the saw? I prefer my VBI AR personally, and have 2 good Saws.

What I was saying was that if all LMGs recieved a damage boost to put them on par with a SAW, why should people use an AR?

Plus, even if they were only bumped up to the 300 range, that'd still make weapons like the assault carbine useless in comparison.

I have just returned to defiance as my frineds are playing it, when the region lock is released I will be starting again with a US server account, I play a machinist and the best gun I have LMG wise is a purple saw that fires that bio goo stuff that slows enemies down, but every one i picked up does 404 pointsof damge per bullet or worse, when I can find white snipers doing over 2000 per shot non critical, this needs sorting out,let the LMG hit harder, they are innaccurate but powerful weapons and that should be reflected in game, right now they have the inaccuarcy right but thats it

Snipers also don't have 80 rounds per reload.

and in all honesty, an LMG isn't more 'powerful' than an AR, they usually are belt fed, or use large cap magazine, but use the same rounds you'd find in any AR.

Of course, there are .50 cal machine guns, but no one carries those...
