The reason you get garbage is because the majority of the items are garbage. Doesn't matter what color as most are of limited use whiles others are nothing more than filler. Some guns are so bad you're better off just using melee. The loot system is bad but by no means the worse, it is basically a matter of using a RNG system to combine a large amount of sub-par items with random bonuses, random synergies and random slots. There is just too much randomness to hope to get the perfect item. Best to just hope for ok or good.

This has been my experience exactly. I thought it's more than fair and reasonable to call this out and wonder what is being done to address it.

While I love this game it's such a drag to get OK guns when better ones do exist in the game. The best stuff I have I was super lucky to get from trades. The game is designed to grind for keys to end up with a mediocre reward at best from that grind seems silly.

Getting that Legendary that has the perfect rolls, perfect synergy, and perfect nano is not supposed to happen. If it does its a miracle, and rightfully so.

Greens, blues, and purples are as good as they basically get. For the sake of balance, weapons in this game are not supposed to veer off to far from their base versions. An VBI Assault Rifle will always be an VBI Assault Rifle for the most part from green to purple until you come across a perfect Legendary version of it. The idea of Legendary should not be expected or thrown around.

Imagine everyone was scoring Legendries from lock boxes. PvE would be worthless. There would be no need to try and play with different guns because everyone would of found their perfect Gem of a gun. And not to mention PvP would be all muffed up with everyone running around with super guns. As if PvP isn't already a cluster ****.

I am not sure I could possibly disagree with everything you just said any more. From what I have already said. I am find with a grind for legendaries. I don't expect them every time and I am fine with the current drop rate. As I said I play a lot an as an example I usually end up with a about 4 tier 3 boxes a day and I am lucky if I get a legendary every 2 weeks. I am not fine with getting worthless legendaries.

Sorry but to me this is absolutely ridiculous, why build the game around grinding keys for lockboxes in the hopes of winning a lotto for a good item. It's discouraging to put it it politely.

There should be no objection at all to being able to grind for an item you want.

If the legendary weapons are so hard to get why do I keep getting garbage . It's extremely frustrating to finally get an orange after a couple of weeks of grinding specifically for them to have it just be something like a disrupter.

I want to know if there are plans to adjust this so we can grind towards a weapon or item we actually want.
Well now how is Trion supposed to know the very weapon that any one individual player might want. I might just love rocket launchers (some people do), but you might love SMGs. In fact, though, it often seems to me like the lockboxes are sort of geared toward what they think I might want at the time.

The reason I think this is because if I've been using a particular weapon and go to get a lockbox, usually one of the weapons will be of the type I'm using. If I'm using a bolt action sniper rifle I am more likely to get a bolt action sniper rifle from a box.

But sure a good legendary is good, but not still the best. A great purple will beat a good orange any day. And your question as to if legendary weapons are so hard to get then why do you keep getting garbage really makes no sense to me. Oranges are rarer so you are less likely to get them and so the other stuff you get you may see as garbage. Personally, I have gotten some good oranges but have some purples that are just better. And there's nothing in this game except for one pursuit that really requires an ultra-rare weapon so I've never stressed out about not getting an orange. I got one at 106 and the next at 2600 though I was constantly getting lockboxes.

Oranges are less likely to be "garbage" than other types but still you can get oranges that don't have good bonuses or aren't super good.

I know that if you're constantly grinding just to get an orange then disappointment will be a part of it. If instead you just try and have fun with the stuff you do get sometimes you'll be pleasantly surprised. I can count on one finger the great oranges I've gotten from lockboxes. Some others I've won in clan contests and I'm not interested in buying any of them from people-it's more fun for me to see what I can get in the game rather than just having all these things for no real reason.

4 tier 3 boxes is actually nothing, sorry...I've literally sometimes bought 10-20 boxes a day, on weekends a lot more. I don't do so because I'm really searching for oranges but sometimes it's so I don't lose keycodes. And tier 3s might be preferred by a lot of people but I've only ever gotten one orange from them-none from tier 4s and of course the rest from tier 2s.

The luck of the draw is just that. I've known of people that get several oranges each day and they get fewer boxes than I do. Some have gotten so many that they are just breaking down those they don't want because they're not into this marketplace stuff. And you are indeed lucky if you are getting a legendary every two weeks-I've played this game every day since just after it came out for hours each day and I have a handful of oranges. So do consider yourself lucky.

The way this game is set up oranges are "just for fun" and are not really meant to be the most important things in the game. Consider that they are supposed to be ultra rare. So if there was something in the game that required an ultra rare weapon to succeed, then only a few players would be able to do it. Everyone else would be mad because they couldn't get the weapon needed to complete the thing.

That would take up too much memory.
