Ever since I had Punkbuster guid ban me for no reason, I have lost any confidence in it being productive. Especially since Evenbalance refused to look into it and EA wouldnt part with another copy of a $20 game.

Yea but TRION haven't turned around and flipped off every single hacker on the internet and told them to come at them Hammerpoint did and now they have a broken forums, broken facebook page and a broken game since it came out of closed alpha.

I still say go to the hacker's house and remove their thumbs and forefingers that will put a crimp in the hacking

Hopefully their in game monitoring doesn't ban people for graphic mods. Always hate how devs and community managers for other games flip flop on graphics mods (such as sweetfx)

They have to. Graphic mods can include things that are in fact hacks. For example some wall hacks in minecraft are just graphic mods that make some textures transparent, hence why xray hacking on minecraft servers is such a huge problem. Another example would be people using texture mods to make other players appear to be blaze orange or another high contrast color for easier spotting. If they do allow graphic mods hopefully it is on a case by case basis in which they only approve specific mods that they can guarantee provide no advantage to using them.

both systems outlined in the op really only work for lobby based, small scale shooters. they dont work on persistent world mmo's whether it's an mmorpg, mmofps or mmotps

graphic mods modify client files. mmo companies consider this a breach of the tos and will ban you.

Define allows. Do you mean "doesn't approve" but hasn't actually gone out of there way to punish people for using it?
Or first say that it's fine, then say it's not, then again say it's fine and then finally leave a completely ambiguous statement that can be taken numerous way?
