Spanner protectors dont heal in arkfalls??

I was in an arkfall with a buddy and tried to heal him with my vot spanner protector and it didn't work. I switched to my tele spanner and it healed right up? Am i MISSING SOMETHING???

I think the protector will help prevent some damage to other players, but it does not heal.

think its just shields that they refill

Yeah, that one just does shields not health.

It doesn't heal shields, it increases players' mitigation.
