Girl Gamers ....

I usually am only on mumble or teamspeak with folks I'm playing with and not the world at large, but the rare occasion where I tell people I'm a girl in context of some conversation, I usually get "lol sure you are."

It cracks me up.

Even though I can't use any form of voice chat, I still get at least one random friend request from people I don't remember having seen, group invites, party invites, "R U Real Girl" messages, etc. a day. And not just in Defiance, but when I play Halo 4 too. Its weird.

My wife is a girl gamer but luckily we both have an Xbox each. We've been playing Xbox games together for 6 years or so now and have had a ton of fun together.

She gets the odd weirdo now and again (you all know the type - As soon as they hear a girls voice the friends requests start appearing) but she usually takes it all in good fun.

I'm more of an RPG person myself but she loves shooters and is seriously good at them too...I'm not ashamed to admit it but in any shooter you can name she can nail my sorry @$$ to the wall every time.

It's fun to watch the stalkers disappear when that happens but it's a shame that some people just use the games as an excuse for stalking (For want of a better term).

I am always in party with the same core group of ppl from our clan ... my bf and I game together regularly and still i get random messages and even more random friend request...recently Irecieved a request and declined it, having no idea who the guy was. A week or so later same guy msgs me. I think its odd that hes sending me msg then find out from frma friend that the same guy sent her a request and when she accepted he asked her for nude pics...the next day i receive a private chat from a 62 yr old nana i have on my list. She informs me that the same perv had sent her a friend request and chat invite. She asked how he got her name and he told her that him and I were friends! She calld bulls--t and he left...that is a creepy perv stalker.

Some of us are....others....not so much. On the flip side some guy gamers are awesome likes the ones in our clan...

Its natural for guys to change when they know your a chick, they surrounded or game with guys too much so when a real female comes along your like a breath of fresh air. Only thing is we turn into dogs or some are just real extreme perverts :P. Your better off changing your avatar if you dont want this kind of attention. Otherwise dont be surprised by the random msgs.

Started Defiance in June, it’s my first online game, and didn’t have any friends to play together. I’m not a teen and my friends doesn’t really like xbox games….
Joined a group 1,5 months ago and play with the same 4-6 guy every night. We have so much fun! I don’t even speak English well, sometimes it’s hard to understand what they are talking about…but these guys are just so patient and helpful, I guess I had luck with them.
