(No, I haven't played BETA, so bare with me if there already is such a bar)
We don't know if there will be an energy bar,but i guess no...A big part of the game is pve/coop... the jump doesn't seems to be an issue,anyway...(Adapt or die) or just play a more "realistic" game.

The decision to allow bunny hopping to be an effective PvP tactic is usually one of those decisions a developer has to make where they ask themselves "do I want to allow PvP combat to visually look ridiculous or not". For that reason some developers will put a delay on hops, or integrate it with a stamina mechanic, or have it actually expand the size of your hitbox, etc to discourage the action while keeping the ability to jump when necessary intact.

I would like to see something like that here. It's difficult to take PvP seriously or feel immersed in the game when people are hopping all over.

I always wondered why bunny jumping was considered a noob move.
Look at Quake where everybody is jumping around and it's anything but a "noob" game.
Jumping around required both players to aim more carefully while increasing the difficulty for the the jumping guy at the same time.

We can agree to disagree. I'm the other way around, being a long term Unreal Tournament player. I can tell you that if you don't know how to move properly and bunny hop in that game, you WILL be destroyed.

So I'm happy with bunny hopping being in the game. A shooter without bunny hopping is likely not going to be satisfying for me.

I play Battlefield3 a lot, and most of the time its the more experienced players that start doing the hop-dont want their precious K/D affected i guess.

Against an even half competent shooter, hopping is zero defence..just laugh, shoot and give a derisory Sheldon Cooper style snort at their tomfoolery

Its more rediculous looking then just noobish. To me all the jumping looks stupid and is annoying.

I have to say though in the last beta I did not see as much jumping. A few people still did that but not many. It has gotten better.

After playing the beta I can honestly say that they did integrate some anti-bunny hopping. The damn ooze grenade doesn't do any kind of real damage but it slows you down so much. Hitting some bunny hopper with that and then nailing his location with explosives is pretty much gonna end his Eastery antics in a hurry.

The real problem is the jump is too high (from beta). If you are submerged in water you should not be able to jump clear out and above the water. I hope they lower this for the final release.

I wouldn't say it's a noobish move but it definitely annoys me in a game that is somewhat story driven and focuses on immersion. This is not Quake or CS 1.6.
