Let's just all keep it about the post and not the poster. Disagree with what has been said if need be, but try and be constructive. This is the problem in every video game. People do have the right and should be encouraged to complain and state what they think could help or be done better and more consumer-friendly. And this thread is not like those other "I hate this game, the devs, and want everyone to hate them too" threads. The only issue I have is with it being titled to say please make the game F2P when even the OP states that's not really the desire.

The OP doesn't really think F2P is the way to go. I definitely don't think F2P is the panacea others think it is because it often makes for a game that is just something that's played and that people move on from. I would like some more things added to the store that are along the line of really wanted things but not necessary things. That's the better micro-transaction model. I don't want to have needed things be for pay in the store. I would rather buy my content and have other great optional things for pay.

I look at it like this-people say they want a house or some place to store items. Well that maybe could happen and everyone who buys DLC could get a basic box and campsite at e-rep/Tranquility Road that is for their stuff. And then maybe if you want more, you pay for that. It's not needed but would be nice to have, and building more might keep people occupied for longer and keep them playing the game. But part of upgrading say a house or some camping area might be achieved by finding things in the world.

If you don't buy the DLC, you can pay for a basic box and campsite. Again, it's not a completely necessary thing but would make things a lot easier and you'd have options.

Totally agree with all that you said. I think people should contribute with ideas for the success of the game, obviously it will be hard to implement all the ideas, but i think that some can be used if TRION wants. And i think that they should take those ideas in consideration.
I think that this game just needs a little bit more of tender loving care

There's a girl in that pic? All I could look at was the phone and the great tile work in that room!

I didn't defend the F2P model at all. But I do try to avoid ad hominem attacks in discussions.

With that said, I disagree with what some of you said, F2P model isn't inherently "evil". If a game is built from the beginning with F2P in mind it can turn out quite good. Warframe is a good example of a good F2P game IMO, built from the ground with that model in mind, that everything that's for sale in the store can be earned by playing the game (with the exception of color palettes for customization) and from what I've heard is doing pretty good with no major complaints from the players.

    That tile work is impressive.

Nod. Baker is who I wish I could see, this may be one of the last major DW events he may do so those who go are very lucky imo.

Sadly I can't go either. My wife is a nurse and has a hard enough time getting any holiday time so I have to protect the little people in my house from the big bad world while she fixes poorly people.

Although my favourite Doctor is still Sylvester McCoy ..... I had a thing for Ace (what? I was young).

This game isn't able to go f2p. For one it was never p2p. You only invested in the game and nothing else. Right now they are doing the only thing they can do as far as price reduction goes. They can't cut the price of the DLC because they already sold it at a price and its not out yet. They would probably face a lawsuit if they would all of a sudden give DLC away for free and not compensate the people who bought it.

The only thing I see happening in the next few months is the game going up on PS plus for free. Everything else will stay the same. DLC won't get a price reduction until the 1st 5 are out.

Omg, no love for my bathroom door? The tile is getting a swelled head but the door is beside itself.

Couldn't quite see the door properly, something is blocking the shot.
