Pre-order and Full-price players versus the Ten-Buck Player

I want to know what I am getting in the DLC that I bought the DLC for, when it seems like a lot of the stuff is free to the public that did not buy the DLC. I see loyalty is rewarded in RIFT, and it just seems to me that same thought-pattern is not apparent in this game?

I love this game, and I believe in Trion's customer service, but it seems there is a disconnect between Trion and Defiance.

well in the Full-price vs Ten-Buck player smackdown, I'd have to go with the 10-Buck players as we are thrifty and patient.

I am looking for the same amount of rewarding loyalty as RIFT gives its players. You are experiencing a game and updates that the loyal customers and the ones that believed in the game first paid for. I am not against ten-buck players, I just want to see loyalty rewarded, and if I buy a DLC there better be something special for the price.

June 2013. Yup, you've been here forever. You aren't entitled to anything. As a Rift player, the loyalty reward system does not fit here.

I'm so sick of ppl *****ing about prices of a game that they play for months. Even at $60, the amount of time you spend in game is the cheapest form of entertainment you can get. I'd spend more than that in a few hours at a bar. Stop crying.

Your profile date shows a little different. I'm not sure what you are looking for here. The store is completely different from Rift. Rift is a game build on the traditional MMO playstyle. This game is a shooter. If you want Rift, go play Rift. Sure, this game can use work but there aren't many out there that don't.

Rewards are for sub based games that go free to play .... NOT buy to play games that go ... well ... stay buy to play.

I love the fact that some people feel they are owed something.

you can see the breakdown here of what you get for free versus paying for the DLC.

Basically for the $10, you get a Raptor, some charge weapons, an outfit, access to a new race, a new game mode, a new story line, new pursuits, and a one time race, name and appearance change.

I think there was some value in being an early adopter and paying full price. I wish i had. You got to play the story lines along with season 1 and not try to cram them all in at the rewind. I believe there is some content that is scheduled to dissapear when DLC is released. I hear shadowwars were easier to partcipate in. (I don't know about this. It is an aspect of the game I haven't explored yet.) There were Volge sieges which may or may not come back at some point. I also believe i heard there was content that you got that is not available during the rewind, even if it was only titles or clothing. Plus it would have been nice to be on the same learning curve as everyone else.

Minor correction. Rift is built on the traditional MMORPG playstyle. Both games are MMOs, the difference most people keep banging their faces on and still not seeing is that Defiance is not, and never will be, an RPG.

in Defiance you are taking the role of a character in the future fantastical setting that makes up the show. You play a story line, collect resources and do missions. Your character even has a back story... Defiance *IS* a shooter based mmorpg.
