Ok, no need to bash someone else's work just because you don't like it. Don't get me wrong though, Halo 4 got traded into this AND I had the season pass. I liked it at first but it's still the same game with different features...BOII got traded in as well. This game will give me everything that Bioshock and Injustice won't cover (these are the three games I'll be playing for a while). Still rocking B3 though, at least when I get bored I can change it up and do vehicle heavy/only matches.
If you're willing to completely abandon all interest and suspense for "Defiance" because of what one magazine article stated about it, without ever having sat down and given the game a few hours played yourself, then it's my opinion that you're sucking at a proverbial mainstream teat. I think most gamers would agree with me when I say that large scale magazine companies are just that; companies. These are corporations with business partnerships and will do as necessary to ensure that business stays good. You don't expect every news article to be full of the whole and unadulterated truth, so why would you then a review? Especially one published by a large company with an obvious bias?
Personally, I'm giddy for "Defiance." I'm so sick of these re-painted fps'. I'm sick of playing a game and realizing after only five or six hours of play time that this game is exactly like ten other titles in almost every way. I hate spending sixty dollars on a game and sitting back as the credits roll wishing from the deepest pits of my soul (as a gamer) that just one revolutionary idea had come out of the game I just finished. Not that those ideas aren't happening in other titles, it's just not very common. For me, the entirety of "Defiance" is revolutionary as an Xbox player. I could go on for days, but I certainly won't be walking away from this title because some cat in a tall building somewhere wrote a negative review about it.
Borderlands and Defiance use the same game engine, so they dumb if they bashing this game because they similar to eachother. That's pretty dumb, both Defiance and borderlands are good games. I just think Defiance is better because of more players and it's connected to a TV
go PS3
I read the article just now and for everything they said about it, they constantly mention its an early build and they are reserving judgement. Gamers make big things out of nothing.
This coming from a mag that gives good reviews to CoD games year after year. My guess would be they didn't get paid enough to give Defiance a shining review, and that's alright with me.
