Feel like Defiance isnt getting a fair shot at all

i've seen many advertisemens for the game on various gaming websites

also IGN did a 1 hour gamplay

and there were many giveaways for beta by Raptr and mmorpg.com

Just because you see the ads on other websites doesn't mean that they're pushing them everywhere...it means that at some point, you've shown interest (or visited this site or other sites dedicated to Defiance) in something and the online advertisers are now specifically targeting you because you're the 'low hanging fruit' and more likely to click on the ads. Unfortunately for Defiance/Trion, they're pretty much wasting their money on those of us that have already pre-ordered.

But that would ultimately be why all of us are seeing a lot of Defiance ads online

Well i seen a TV ad of Defiance on Showcase tonight, talking about their "exclusive" show. Which surprised me, thought it was on SciFy channel only, meaning i wouldn't get to see it.

Would not have even seen the ad if i didn't turn on the TV in the garage while i had a smoke.
My point is, just because you don't see much ads for the game/show, doesn't mean they ain't out there and you just missed them/ don't visit that site.

Just been looking around. It seems that Defiance is really only getting coverage on the television show. The video game itself is getting hardly any attention. Not to mention the constant pre order batteling between steam for pc and the consoles. Xbox and Sony not even getting along. Set back after set back on preorder by amazon. More hype for other video games coming out. My ego rewards being locked even after entering all 120 codes. Console beta's not delivering. It feels like Trion isn't really putting effort behind they're video game at all. I'm concerned as so much time has been invested on this not to mention getting the pre order ultimate edition. Anyone else thinking that theyre not really giving this game a fair shot.

Im starting to see ads for it now on like youtube, facebook, and etc but i think most of their advertising will come from their television show.

iv got 20+ friends getting it on xbox so i don't think they have did a bad job. also you know you've got a mouth? spread the word people are the best ads.

There's a two story ad in Times Square. Not much else you can ask for.

Shame the ad doesn't even mention the game, you would think they'd at least mention it in smaller font under the title or something. That could have gotten us some more players.

How much marketing hype was there for Minecraft? A good game will become popular even without huge marketing pushes. Marketing helps with initial player base but at least on PC I think that is covered. The long term success of the game will deend on how fun it is and how regularly they update it with good content.

The show is only starting on April 15, i see tons of ads on Youtube already, and outside as well not to mention one of the best marketing way known to mankind: Mouth to Ear! Oh...

Don't get discouraged, Lyvandil. Because Defiance is everywhere you'd expect video games to be. Even some places you wouldn't.
