I just bought the Season pass through Steam but bought it as a gift because I do not a have a copy through Steam because previously back in January I bought the Defiance Standard Edition through GMG will I be able to use the Steam Season Pass with my GMG version?
This is actually a very good question. I also pretty ordered long before steam had the game. We should be able to buy the season pass anywhere and just apply the code to trions main site. It would not be right to limit sales from certain resellers.Originally Posted by JShizy

While that is correct steam often has expansions and dlc that explicitly require the base game ON steam.
I will not be happy with that. I don't like my games on steam. Trion should have the same discount on the season pass since many people already pre-ordered long before steam was even an option.

if im right the steam dlc page did say that it requires the game on steam.

totally agree, I've been contacting support for a legitimate answer on why I shouldn't cancel my trion purchase because of this. I was diverted with 'well it takes a lot of people to get those rewards.' In other words I haven't seen a good reason why steam shouldn't get the purchase over the developing company. Makes no sense what-so-ever to expect the same payment for less monetary value...

Thats great they offered that but at the same time, thats like me taking my company to another country because the labor is cheaper.
