So they didn't touch the Canker? Then I guess PvP will large stay the same as it is currently... unless those Charge weapons can make a dent against the Canker.

I have visions of Luke Skywalker first learning to use a lightsaber against a practice droid.
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

I'm just happy they were willing to increase the RoF & Mag size on a few of the other LMGs. Hearing that just the SAW was getting a dmg drop was very irritating at first when you take the time to think of all the other things they could have done to bring the cr@p ones up a little bit so more players would consider them.

Hopefully this evening I'll slip into the test server and see for myself.

They nerfed the pre-order weapons, something that you can't buy or trade in the game.

    Why?

There is a limited number of pre-ordered weapons that can't be obtained by anyone that gets the game now, unless they have a vortex manipulator.

Because they really don't know what the heck they're doing. They're just way over their heads, people are complaining so they have to do something, yet every move they make is more hated than the previous one. So they do the next best thing, try to squash the complaints to make things look more successful, and when that fails they mash all the general discussion into the one forum that's flooded with spam, and supposedly can't be fixed, so that the complaints are forced off page one as fast as possible because even a spam flooded forum looks better than one flooded with customer complaints.

You know it's amazing how we still haven't got any comments on why they made the decision to nerf the starter guns and arkfall code guns. Now that I think about it, whoever has access to the my ego page better make note to those weapons that you can earn are nerfed into the ground.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

I'm basically done with PvP-got tired of bunny hopping RLs and detonators, as well as BMGers. Basic thing with the Canker is the bug blindness if that's not been changed. As I see it it has some real vulnerabilities that the Immunizer never had--because it's often necessary to be much closer to the victim, I mean player. It's sort of in line with an incendiary SMG in a way (I know not completely) if based solely on bug damage, shot damage, and reload. The bug blindness thing and the inability to drop and roll to get them to stop, is what sets it apart.

But those things don't even apply to PvE--the bugs don't blind NPC foes at all and they don't seem to ever drop and roll to get anything off of them, so they actually could address those in PvP and not affect PvE at all. However, I imagine given the state of things and since they've recently nerfed nanos and other stuff and are working on nerfing grenades into insensibility and will require we write our Doctoral Dissertations in explaining to others how they work, they may well avoid nerfing yet another weapon. And if they do nerf it, then they'd have to consider that detonators are OPed, bunny hopping is Oped, and so on.

There does not seem to be one coherent plan at some overall balance with weapons at all, IMO. It may be why it seems they've been doing roving nerfing and buffing, and they may continue with that--or they'll use the grenades as the shape of things to come for all items in the game.
