I do not agree.
Personally, I think their mistake was in trying to make the game "identical" across all platforms. I think PC users should definitely have more flexibility with key-binds, graphics controls, and the way chat & menus function.
However I don't think the game would have ever had a chance if it launched on one platform alone. It would have been foolish to alienate more then half their potential player/fan-base, while trying to promote a new game that's tied to a show no one knows anything about.
It was a smart business decision IMHO.
I do not agree. As a ps3 n xbox player I'm tired of these pc players always whining and crying about certain games being made on all platforms. Game companies do this to make sure they can sell their product on all platforms so everyone can play and enjoy the product also to make as much money as possible. There is a lot of games on pc that will never come to console not to mention third party companies that make mods for pc only. You guys get to test most game, dlc's before we get them. Besides ps3 n xbox would go out of business if every game was pc format only.

Uh huh pc this and pc that, guess what your PC is rendered obsolete garbage within a month or 2 while you get a much longer lifespan from a console than you do a top of the line computer which as I said earlier is rendered pretty obsolete by standards fairly quickly.
Oh yes lets not forget that a good majority of console users are used to games of similar type.....CoD, Halo, Battlefield, etc.... if this was strictly on PC it probably wouldn't have the numbers to back it up if one of the consoles truly does have the higher player base.

While I am a Defiance PC gamer, I would have to say limiting the game to just the consoles would have been the proper direction.
Believe it or not, consoles are far easier to work out problems than the PC, simply because you know exactly what hardware you are working on.
The competition on PC is just too huge for Defiance to be able to survive how it was, or still is. The market is oversaturated there, while there are still some spots free on consoles. That's for prerelease. After the release, I imagine a lot of people left because the game was overhyped, falsely advertised, so people felt disappointed, and the pace of changes and new content is turtle like. The latter might also be caused by having to work on 3 platforms, but I'm not a developer to know such things.
