It isn't about the DCUO game itself, or whether it is good or bad. It's about that even a company like SOE knew that when releasing a cross-platform game, including VOIP for the console side and full-functional text chat for the PC, was a basic given.

The fact that the Trion Defiance Team didn't seem to know even that much makes me wonder what level of professional PC/Console game design experience they had prior to working on this game.

(For the record, I don't play DCUO, and haven't in a while. I play Defiance and Rift.)

again your utter stupidity completely astounds us! you do realize that consoles a re "mass produced" out of outdated and cheep components that have been stockpiled away for years if a "console had one 1/5 the comparative processing or graphical power or made with current technological components you honestly would not be able to afford them..since they would compare to a new computer ..pc's on the other hand are generally "plug and play and upgradable/tweekable on the fly it voids no warrentys/rebates to openmy "rig" and do with it as i please from the software's i choose to operate to the o/s i choose to use it is entirely end user driven not to mention my ability to run emulation software and play any console game ever created from Atari to Nintendo from 3do to Xbox.......something you cannot do with crappy consoles ..you stuck with the games made /coded for your console or multiple consoles you are ignorant enough to buy that are out dated before they hit the shelves ...

You are aware a decent Pc costs 400$ as do current consoles right?
