Feeling a bit jilted

Got jilted at the end of this main line quest

Jilted is definitely not the word you want here.

Defiance is different from most MMOs and while most content is pretty easy there are a few missions, like this one, which are more challenging. I remember finding this one more difficult than content that had come before it but was able to finish it.

Try different weapons. Try moving around and using the environment. Sometimes switching ego abilities helps - decoy can make a big difference with harder mobs.

From memory the approach I took in this one was to focus on the little guys first. If you stay in the corridor then they can't circle around behind you and you have ample cover to duck behind to regen your shields.

I didn't use the temporary weapon. For the big guy I made my way into the last room and there's a sort of raised platform/room in the corner. From there you can pop into and out of cover and keep him more or less walking back and forth while you shoot him.

Installed Defiance a few days ago and ran to ego 117 and attempted "into the depths"
main quest using a sniper rifle and blue combat shotgun.

The game seems stupidly difficult since multiple elite mobs spawn and the only way
to kill them is to hit and run - draw a few sniping and shotgun them down. This is not
statisfying since it takes too long and you must ignore the downed and begging NPC.

Got jilted at the end of this main line quest
where you are locked in a small area with a secret weapon, many
up close sluggers and a bioman with a minigun. No more hit and run. After a while the secret
weapon disappears. Died only once before that but kept dying here at the end - no way out,
no more secret weapon locked up with many mobs - can't hit/run - respawning, respawning,
respawning...

uninstall.
Belongs in the bargain bin where I found it.

Back to secret world and neverwinter.

well the game is too easy. If you had a hard time beating Nim, maybe you should stop playing games all together... i think that The Secret World is harder than Defiance.. but i guess i'm wrong.

As far as difficulty watch this guy play. He dies many times more often than in my attempt and
has better equipment.

I guess I don't like the game - unsatisfying to keep respawning and have the NPC keep dying, etc.
It is not entertaining - too much like work and disrupts the story.

If you try neverwinter or secret world you can't just keep respawning in place since it kicks you
back to the start.
Too make so much respawning part of the game destroys the emersion and the discipline of staying alive.

You should really learn the mechanics of the game before you say someone has better equipment and is only rank 100.

Did you send feedback in game about this?

Maybe having an option to extract to be able to start over would be beneficial? (We are talking about NIM right?) I only played it once, so I don't remember if that was an option or not. (I'll have to play all the way through again.) To come back after obtaining new gear or getting new perks.

You have the audacity to come here *****ing and whining about how much you suck at shooters, telling us you uninstalled the game , that it belongs in the bargain bin and have the nerve to call us unhelpful and hostile? Rank, means exactly jack **** in the grand scheme of Defiance.

If you had even the slightest iota of intelligence you would say, hey maybe this strategy doesn't work - i'll try something else instead of using a sniper rifle in a hallway. You don't tell us your main ego power, you don't tell us your grenade, you don't tell us your shield.

The only advice i can even reasonably give is use an AR and use the super weapon to pound the minigunner, then retreat into the room where you found von bach and pick them off.

Also, who cares about the npc. Pick them up after the fight.

@silverbaer - no, he's talking about when you first regroup with Von Bach in bloodbath gorge delta bunker. Before you meet the lawkeeper.
