wtf... you act like weapons matter in this game. stats for weapons are the same at 94 to 5000... the only difference is bonuses and Mods. you are just terrible.. all you have to do is dodge and shoot when facing Nim. Are you mad that this game require the use of skilled movements??

If you had even the slightest iota of intelligence you would say, hey maybe this strategy doesn't work - i'll try something else instead of using a sniper rifle in a hallway. You don't tell us your main ego power, you don't tell us your grenade, you don't tell us your shield.

The only advice i can even reasonably give is use an AR and use the super weapon to pound the minigunner, then retreat into the room where you found von bach and pick them off.

Also, who cares about the npc. Pick them up after the fight.

Yes back when most of us had Nolan's Ar around ego 30. Btw I did NOT sell that ar or my lvl 50 Ba sniper until I was ego 1200. Because they were BETTER than most of the random stuff I picked up. I am ego 2800 or so and STILL use a lvl 200 flash grenade becaues it is the best Flash I have personally found. My shield is only lvl 1200.

In this game weapon's ego lvls mean NOTHING! They are just there so somebody at lvl 5000 can NOT give his best legendary stuff to a friend who just started the game. It is called balance. (not sure how great of balance it is, but that is what it is)

You clearly don't understand the game, that's not an insult, it's an observation. The difference between 107 & 94 is like the difference between 3 days old and 4 days old.

We here in Defiance don't believe in coddling new born infants. Much like real life should operate; we prefer to kick you in the testicles and say "Welcome to the Real World!"

The fact that you find this game difficult proves only that you are inexperienced. Not only with this game, but with open world shooters in general. Yet instead of experimenting, learning, and getting better; you QQ, climb onto the forums, and whine because you are incapable of adapting to a new environment. That's not a difficult mission. Part of the reason that guy kept dying is because he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. When you're on fire, you roll to put it out, or the DoT keeps ticking.

It doesn't matter if the NPC gets disabled. Clear the mobs, wake her up, move on. There's no failure mechanism that will punish you for this. She can't die.

Unlike MMORPGs, equipment doesn't have a lot of impact on Defiance. You just have to learn the mechanics and how the AI behaves.

The difference between 94 and 107 is meaningless in Defiance. It's not the gear that's the problem.

Sorry Man. Unfortunately, the forum has gotten 1000x more hostile in the last two weeks because of the DLC issues. Everyone just took some frustration out on you.

I know where you are in the game at that mission and here's what I recommend:

If you get stuck and lose the superweapon and there are still tons of mutants runnin around, the shotgun can be your friend if it's a combat shotgun or pump. A sawed off will just get you killed in that situation as you're still learning. Headshots fromt he sniper are not recommened either. You might have a downpour pulser from an earlier quest by now, that is ideal for this situation. You can empty a clip into that elite mutant cleaver's head and kill him before he gets in melee range. A pump shotgun (162x8) can outright kill a normie mutant if you are short range. Best advice is keep moving, never stand still. Use your EGO power. Decoy will save your bacon more times than valtrax in Vegas. If you can't respec your toon for Decoy and have cloak, then kill a mutie, crouch behind cover, cloak, throw your grenade (Grenade doesn't break cloak on PC version), run to the big round room and kill until you have to run again, recloaking and repositioning every possible chance. If you have blur and can't respec, then same thing, but remember to melle something in the face as you reposition. Blurr will prevent you from being staggered by the cleavers. Overcharge; just use it to reload fast and keep respawning.

Way back in April, when I did that mission for the very first time, I lucked out and had a ground pounder drop for me just prior to entering the bunker. After I used up the super weapon, I layed out the grenades, detonated them, and that killed everything I missed on the pulverizer. I was about your EGO. Goes to show that it's not the EGO on the weapon, but what weapon you choose.

I just did that mission yesterday on the test server with a Rocket Pod and a Rocker LMG. I died a couple of times since I was still using a 9.6 recharge shield (Rhino Regen II EGO 86). The secret on the pulverizer is to use the jump attack on the normal muties that bunch together while you charge the minigunner and punch him the face until he dies. OR ignore the gunner and punch everything else until they die. You're not (to my knowledge) going to be able to wipe out all of them with the superweapon.

Uh, no. He was rude from the get go, and after the first response, posts 3,4, and 5 offered good general advice. Basically, once you get past the little snark and disbelief (you know like anyone who has EVER been on a forum should) there is, the advice offered is pretty good on what little info he gave.
