PC Specs - Should I be concerned?

I, in a total lapse of thoughtfulness, didn't even think to check the system requirements of Defiance prior to pre-order. I've played WoW for years and even Guild Wars 2 quite well so I never thought anything of it. My PC's certainly not the newest. It's running hardware that's about 5 years old now. Anyway, looking at System Requirements Lab, I can see that my PC is about half-way to recommended but over minimum. What's odd about this is that if I go to the recommended tab, I can see that it recommends a CPU speed of 2.4Ghz (i5 or equivalent) while my system is running a Q6600 2.4Ghz. So my CPU speed is actually the recommended speed, it's just a slightly older CPU. Same thing with my video card. It's wanting a pixel shader and vertex shader of 4.0, which I have, and a dedicated video ram of 1024MB. I have that as well. Again, it's just an older card than what it recommends. I had to throw in a cheap replacement card recently after my old card burnt out so I'm running a 9800GT.

So, TL;DR? What sort of performance can I expect? I'm betting on fairly lowish settings. I'll probably end up turning the shadows down quite a bit, and perhaps grass effects as well. I do like to turn my draw distance all the way up though. I'm a fan of seeing as far ahead of me as I can. Anyone with similar hardware who played beta and can give me some idea?

Well your above the minimum specs and the q6600 is still great cpu and that 9800gt should give you enough gpu power...

short answer, no. remember PCs use pretty much the same client as consoles, just different servers.

You should run Defiance with flying colors. After looking over your specs I expect you to run high at native with no issues.

I was playing on fairly moderate/high settings in the beta with a 2.2 ghz quadcore and a gtx 260 with 896 mb and had zero issues. You should be perfectly fine (and only 4gb ram).

I was able to play defiance on my Surface pro with a little choppiness now and then. Think you'll be fine.

The Q6600 was a good CPU, and I only replaced mine last year because a good offer came up. Plenty of guides available for overclocking it if you want a bit more power out of it but don't want to replace it just yet.
