    TL/DR = It's a bit too late for that.

-The aim assist is extremely generous to the point of being a borderline aimbot/full blown auto aim.

-The death penalty may as well not even exist. You can get right up from where you die five minutes at a time. Alternatively an ally can revive you during a very large window of opportunity as many times as they like. If self-revive is on cooldown and/or no allies are present - you have a whopping thirty second trek back to the last waypoint. Meanwhile, you'll make up whatever scrip you lost in a matter of minutes.

-Loot/scrip drop rate is extremely generous. People love to be showered in "uncommons" every few minutes. Heck, vendors alone are flooded with them. Calling rares........rare or very rare seems rather silly when there are literally tens of thousands running around on folks or otherwise immediately available.

Challenge is pretty much non existent and not likely to change. There is no risk/reward worth noting. The game could be more than what it is, unfortunately most people can't handle losing be it in life or a silly video game. Many/most people are spoiled, rotten brats who want everything handed to them. If they don't get it, or they lost something, they throw a tantrum like a child and quit.

Trion knows this. All reward, no risk is commonplace in most games and appeals to a broader range of customers. Some games like EvE go against the grain and still do extremely well, but they're few and far between. Most companies would sooner not even try.

A deep experience outside of (potentially) story or semblance of weight to your actions is just not here. In the end, we're all part of the great mindless zerg with little to identify one player over another. Having said that, the game is still quite fun...at least for a little while. Trion doesn't need a subscription base, though...so retention isn't important. Just as long as people like it enough in short bursts to get the DLC. Ultimately this game will live or die based on the TV show's ability to draw in more people, as the game itself won't be able to on its own merits past the initial surge.

Losing Credits was to fix your gear. I’m sure at 1-2k Ego it will suck to die due to the fact I’m sure the gear is going to cost much more to repair. This is a good tactic to use making people strategize instead of just Kamikaze everything.

me too but you dont have to die at all in a game for it to be hard....

for example I had PLENTY of battle sin FFXI where I never died but the enemies we fought were so much of a challenge that I at least had the fear of death.. as opposed to walking right into the fight KNOWING im gonna win lol

Oh the game is fantastically easy. Want to be uber? equip a white bmg revive perks and a flash grenade. You'll mow down things in seconds. (sarcasm) :P

Difficulty is relative. Some people may find a mission easy that you thought was excellently hard. Other will struggle with a mission that you breezed through and thought ridiculously easy. So really, this is totally subjective.

From my own experience, Trion devs have found a good balance.

You can't lose - at least on the PvE side of things. At the most extreme you might experience a very minor delay in completing a mission. (Self Rez on cooldown, no teammates, run back to waypoint.)

If that's not easy, I don't know what is. That's not even getting in to the AI of the enemies which, for the most part, is extremely predictable and easy to exploit.

(Again, this is for PvE sake...not PvP)

Before this heads off into "perma death" territory, remember you always have the option to throw your PC out the window upon character death.

    Easy! what is easy?

Depends on the player, I always like to say I put the "casual" into "casual player". I've no problem with things being difficult, complicated, etc. But I DO have a problem with a game that requires me to complete a 5 hour "raid" for end game. As many of you will find out, job, family, kids, etc all conspire to limit your PC gaming time.
