Are tier 4 lock boxes worth it?

Right now the answer is NO. Tier 4 lockboxes are currently not worth the cost. However, according to the latest patch information, patch 1.027 will be changing that.

For those that may not know, 1.027 is the next update which will go live sometime this month. The patch notes state that they are going to be making rare items drop more frequently in the tier 4 lockboxes.

To be completely honest I don't really see a big difference in your chances of getting a legendary in a tier 4 from a tier 3 so Id say go with tier 3s it's easier on the key codes but a tad heavier on scrip but you get almost 3 tier 3 boxes for what 1 tier 4 cost keys wise.

agreed. i actually pulled two oranges out of the same tier 3 box.

i also pulled an orange mazu blast rifle out of a tier two box yesterday.

have gotten more from tier 3's than 4's.

Not really. It's been confirmed that those notes aren't saying T4 will have a higher drop rate for orange items.

I have a reply from the devs! We should change that to "will now also drop new charged weapons" as that's the change.
