I had played the entire BETA without using the auto-aim.....mainly because I had NO clue it was even there, but even if I did, I probably would have used it VERY rarely! Why? Cause I like the challenge, I want to get better at my own aim, and I see it as more of an 'easy' difficulty setting where I'm more of a 'Medium' to begin with, then go for the hard stuff. Just don't use it.

And yes, there have been other discussions where others out there will use it and potentially ruin larger fights, but that's ultimately their own call. Sounds like you can't use it during PvP though which is essential to keep it from being an even more horrible option.
New to this style of game, enjoying it so far!

It's only on in PVE. There are players who might be interested in the MMORPG aspect of the game but are not very adept at shooters. If you want to play without auto aim play shadow war like me.

Omg auto aim is ridiculous for pve. So all these players will go into pvp and get owned omg its nit fair cause I can not figure out to play without it.

Yea use the auto aim to excess and find pvp to be way to hard for you. Don't like pvp then hey its all good in the hood. Like both then hone your skills and play the game.

I am sorry I don't want to offend anyone but really how does it effect pve? I am drunk so I can not make a good argument but really as I stated before its not in pvp so really it won't effect you. I do not use it as I have seen videos of it abused. I also stated in those videos it should not snap to the head until after maybe level 6 or 7 in that weapon class. After all think about it if you go and actually use a real gun like I do then aiming at the head or torso is easy after practice (spend a year or two at a gun range you will be able to aim easily quickly every time at the target your aiming at) thus in pve its fine though I would perfer it being part of the class leveling not immediate. As for pvp spend some time pvping and you prolly will be able to aim manually where you want. PVE side who cares it lets everyone regardless of skill to be able to participate and assist you in the missions, side quest or having fun leveling your skills. PVP well you are forced to learn some skill.

In my opinion aim assist shouldn't be in console games period... but then half of the gamers out there would get wrecked. What the defiance devs need to do is find that fine line inbetween where aim assist helps but doesn't make it to easy.
