Something to concider as Trion reboots its priorities

Ignore the forum community? No. But take their opinions and wants as development guidance without consulting the majority of the player base? Also, no.

Sorry, but it has been stated by Developers for the past 10 years that a majority of the player base do not visit the forums. They either play the game and enjoy it, or don't enjoy it and quietly move on. A game's forums really is the vocal minority, and using their input to the sole degree that far too many developers have come to rely upon in the past 7-8 years is ridiculous.

Also, do you even read the forums? There are more posts about what I want from any given complainer than what might be overall better for the game. That's another thing the vocal minority is famous for doing.

Well most of the things players say they want if Trion were to do it means money money money for Trion and a good night sleep

I would freak out if Trion sent some of their bug/issue team to talk to people and get a more hands on with players on wtf is going on

Keep in mind that while forums posters are what could be considered the 'vocal minority,' they are not any less representative of that game's player-base for it. They are just the most pro-active.

If I find a mission that is bugged or a feature that I have problem with, and come on the forums to report it, etc., there are probably another 1000 players that also had the same problem, but don't visit/post on the forums.

Think of the forums as a built-in representative sampling of the entire player-base: just a sampling, but representative nonetheless.

I agree, have a poll pop up when someone enters the game asking them to vote on what they would like to see worked on next!

More likely, 95% don't give a ****. Of the 5% who DO care, yeah, most are anti-nerf.

I took a survey once, it wanted to know mostly things from the TV series and it had one question about the game, that was a very poor survey.

I'm pretty sure OP didn't ask for Trion to ignore anyone...

The feedback system in game is nice, but it's buried inside that clunky UI. I think a call out on login would be nice to encourage people to send feedback.

They did this I thought earlier.. I have an idea thread of my own in my sig ^^ I think we all should have some!
